year
Specialist
areas of physiotherapy are considered in the third year of the course.
Knowledge from previous years continues to be integrated into this
learning, taking the student to a higher level of understanding
and application.

The
programme of Advanced Physiotherapy Studies may vary, but will always
allow students to consider aspects of physiotherapy practice to
a much greater depth.
Clinical
education
Further
periods of clinical experience are completed. In addition, the students
must complete an elective placement (organised by themselves). This
placement can take place anywhere in the world provided that the
student is supervised by a qualified physiotherapist. Students must
meet, using their own resources, any additional expenses incurred
on elective placement.
Assessment
Assessment
is by a combination of:
- Coursework
- Undergraduate
research project
- Evaluation
of clinical placements
- Written
examination
Second
and third year clinical and academic assessment will contribute
to the final honours award.
Successful
candidates will be awarded a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy, are approved
for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and become
eligible for state registration as a physiotherapist
